The Board operates a workplace health and safety management system that is
designed to prevent injuries and property damage in all workplace operations.
Lethbridge School Division believes that the safety of our students and staff is paramount. Occupational Health and Safety is a joint responsibility between the Division as the employer and our staff as the employees. This joint responsibility includes:
1. being aware of all policies and procedures within the Division workplace
health and safety management system as they relate to the employee’s
work assignment;
2. creating a work atmosphere in which health and safety is implemented with
every day operations;
3. protecting ourselves and others by adhering to the Division’s workplace
health and safety management system; and
4. promoting health and safety as a value associated with every priority in the
Division.
